Captain – Minimum of 2000 hours PIC
First Officer – At least 600 hours total flying time with as much turbo-prop, twin time as possible.  We also give consideration to the quality of the flying hours.

In addition to the above, a minimum of 50 hours Multi-Engine flying is also required.

These criteria are operated due to the nature of our operation, being special mission maritime surveillance involving low flying over the sea.

F406 Captain


F406 CAPTAIN

Airtask Group are currently recruiting a Captain for its F406 Maritime Surveillance operations contract based at Inverness. 

It is essential that prospective candidates have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Valid EASA ATPL, Frozen ATPL or CPL
  • Current IR with PBN endorsement
  • A minimum of 2500 total hours
  • A minimum of 500 hours in command of multi-crew, multi-engine turbine aircraft
  • Relevant low level experience
  • Current medical

Candidates must reside within a 90 minute surface commute of Inverness Airport.

It is desirable but not essential that candidates are Type Rated and current on the F406 aircraft. 

Candidates should possess excellent inter-personal skills and be team orientated with a strong work ethic.

Multi Engine Piston Pilots


Airtask Group are currently looking to recruit experienced MEP pilots based at Cranfield, for single pilot operations in the UK and overseas. 

Our MEP activities involve SPO operations using DA42s.

For Commanders, it is essential that prospective candidates have the following qualifications and experience:

  • a valid EASA CPL
  • a valid MEP rating
  • current IR with PBN endorsement
  • current medical
  • a minimum of 1500 total hours
  • a minimum of 500 hours Multi Engine (Piston or Turbine)

 

The ideal candidate will possess excellent inter-personal skills and be team orientated with a strong work ethic.

Licensed Engineer


We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time Licensed Engineer to provide engineering support for the Maritime Patrol service on behalf of Marine Scotland at Inverness Airport and the scheduled passenger inter-island air services at Tingwall (Shetland) and Oban Airports.

 

The position involves travel between our Inverness, Shetland and Oban bases.  

 

The ideal candidate will be dedicated and self-motivated, able to work under their own initiative together with the flexibility and ability to work to strict deadlines.

 

Licensed Engineer Requirements

 

Inverness

Must hold an EASA Part 66 B1.1 Engineers License with NO RESTRICTIONS & MUST have Reims F406 type rating. Engineers with group type rating and Pratt and Whitney PT6 Engine rating may be considered.

 

 

Shetland / Oban

Must hold an EASA Part 66 B1.2 Engineers License with NO RESTRICTIONS & MUST have Britten Norman Islander BN2B type rating. Engineers with group type rating and Lycoming Engine rating may be considered.

 

A B2 Licensed Engineer would also be considered.

 

Other essential requirements include a full driving license, the right to live and work in the UK and the ability to provide a criminal record check (Disclosure Scotland).
